About Us
In December 2020 Novelty Event Vehicles Ltd was incorporated as a company and took on The Lincoln Fun Bus.
The bus had been off the road for most of the year due to COVID-19 restrictions and unfortunately the owners at the time could not sustain the effects of the pandemic. The vehicle was in need of maintenance and some TLC to both the vehicle itself and the internal soft play structure.
6 months later and the bus was back, roadworthy with soft play cleaned, repaired and inspected ready for the easing of lock-down restrictions.
Our operating area has been expanded to encompass the majority of Lincolnshire and into Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire. We are happy to consider taking the bus further for weekend events and longer.
The future plan is to add to the fleet of vehicles to provide a wide range of parties and activities straight to your door, village hall, field, pub, campsite, car park or pretty much anywhere we can safely get a bus.
Additional Needs and Under 3's
We have experience with working with young people with additional needs. Adults are allowed on the bus to help and supervise. This reduces the number of children we can have playing as we still need be able to get everyone out safely in the event of an issue. Unfortunately it is not possible to make the vehicle wheelchair accessible at this point but for those that can transfer or be transferred the soft play is a fantastically safe environment for everyone to enjoy.
We are happy for under 3’s to use the bus. We ask that they are directly supervised by an adult while playing. This means that parties and events are for (18 including supervising adults). Why not book us for a mother and toddler session as something a bit different?
Vehicle Maintenance
Our vehicles undergoes 6 weekly maintenance inspections to ensure that they are safe to travel on the road and that the internal equipment is safe and in good working order. At the start of each working day our driver undertakes a walk around inspection of the outside and inside of the vehicle. The vehicle is cleaned between each party.
Annually The Lincoln Fun Bus undergoes an inspection by an inspector from the Register of Play Inspectors International (RPII). They identify any areas for maintenance or improvement.
